Use of immersive technologies in the journalism, media and communication sector

The iStream project is an Erasmus+  Cooperation partnerships in higher education (KA220-HED). It intends to bridge the gap of competences in the use of immersive technologies in the media, journalism and
communication sectors. It aims at improving the effectiveness of Higher education curricula thus reducing digital skills
mismatch in the European media and communication sector.

iStream Competence Framework

It provides a detailed description of the immersive journalist profile in terms of knowledge, skills and competences.

iStream Curriculum

It is a one-year university study track on immersive journalism implementable as specialisation year for BA students, a year MA programme and postgraduate programme.

iStream Syllabus

It provides supporting materials for Higher education teachers along with pedagogical and
technical tips to implement modules for a course on immersive journalism.

iStream Lab Guidelines

It provides academic teachers with resources and materials to properly plan, set
up and manage an Immersive Journalism Laboratory.

iStream International Training Course

It provides technical expertise and hands-on sections on
immersive technologies.

iStream Community of Practice

It will stimulate stakeholders, universities, professionals and organisations in communication and media sector to share experiences and innovations.
